So I was out camping at girls camp to help clean up around the place.(By the way sooooo much fun!) I was out taking Zoe, my dog, to go to the bathroom when she started going off by the rushing river. I kept calling her name but she wouldn't come. While I kept calling her name to come, she continued to got closer and closer to the water. I got more scared each second. I said a little prayer inside my heart to help me get Zoe to come and somewhere in my heart I heard someone say sit down and call her name. So I sat on a dirty rock (ugh) and called her name. Zoe immediately turned her head around and came running. I scooped her up in my arms (she is so small.... she is as big as a loaf of bread) and headed back to the trailer. The next few days I had a warm spirit in my heart. Something no one could replace. I was as happy as could be and had an excellent weekend. I had my first little experience with a prayer being heard and a prompting from the Holy Ghost and I'm so glad I could go there this last weekend. :)
P.S. I'm so sorry for not updating. I'm so busy from doing gymnastics three days a week for three hours to doing homework and stuff. Again sorry. I'll try to update as soon as possible. thanks.

Kaia,
I am so happy that you came to me while camping to share your little experience with me. Girl's camp is a very special place and your testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father will grow each year you go to camp. Can't wait to go this year with you! Keep listening for the little whispers from the Holy Ghost. It will lead you and guide you to do what is right. And in turn, doing what is right, will make you very happy.
I love you....sweet little girl. Please stay my little girl for a little while longer!
Love,
Mommy
I'm so glad you listened to the Spirit. You're an amazing Young Woman Kaia!!
Kaia,
There is a special spirit at Girl's Camp. That's why we want girls to go there ~ so they can learn what the spirit feels like away from the roar of the world.
And work is fun too! Thank you for raking the pine needles in the flag area. When you look at it the week you are at Girl's Camp you will know you had a part in making it beautiful.
Love you,
Grandma Shari xoxo
That is a beautiful and special experience. Some of my most memorable experiences happened at Girls' camp... many of the foundation blocks of my testimony come from camp. You are so awesome and lucky to have had such a wonderful and strong spirirt at camp- before any other campers were there, too!!! I am soooooo excited to see you at camp. I hope I get to leave a big smoochiewoo on your cutsie little cheek!
I do believe that there is a special spirit up at Treasure Mountain. I have always felt that the Holy Ghost is so much more free up there, because it is so peaceful and quiet.
I remember raking pine needles and a group of my friends redid the YW podium up there. (I made the YW gold and everything. I am still proud of it) I can remember how good it felt to feel like I really made a difference up there. It became my own because something that I built was there. Now it forever has "me" in it. I have since done a lot more things up there but the podium was the first so it is my favorite.
I love work weekend so much. I think that it is a little taste of Zion. We are all working for a common purpose. As a teenager I felt one with everyone who was up there working. You get to be with people you wouldn't normally be with and you get to learn new skills. (Like using a drill, but you probably already know how to do that) Everyone is trying to make camp a better place. It is the best feeling in the world.
I can't wait for work weekend!!!
Isn't the power of the Holy Spirit so wonderful??? So blessed are you that you take the time to listne for Him AND obey Him! Don't forget littel moments like this as you continue on your journey called life!
Kaia,
